Thank you for choosing to use Vintage Cherry. Please read the terms and conditions carefully to make sure the conditions of hire are acknowledged and understood. Items borrowed for photographic or styling purposes remain covered under these terms and conditions.

Hire Period
The hire period is between 1 and 4 days depending on timescale and location of the event. Delivery takes place the day before, and collection the day after your event. Please contact Vintage Cherry for longer periods, as late returns will incur a fee charged at 40% total hire per day.

During the hire period, the products still remain the property of Vintage Cherry. The hirer is fully responsible for the goods for the duration of the event, from when the hirer collects the goods, till such time as when the goods are returned to Vintage Cherry directly. Should Vintage Cherry need to deliver and then collect the goods from the venue, then responsibility is from time of delivery to time of collection. The hire period will continue until all goods are returned to Vintage Cherry directly.

Pricing
Please contact Vintage Cherry for a quote for your tea party. The pricing all depends on your requirements and how many people you are hosting a party for. Once the quote is accepted, payment can be made via internet transfer, cheque or cash. Items can be picked up by you or delivered by Vintage Cherry after full payment of your invoice.

Terms of Payment
Vintage Cherry requires a 50% deposit to confirm your booking, with the balance paid one week before your event. A R1000 refundable damages deposit is included with the final balance, which is refunded when all hire items have been returned and checked for damage. Any damages will be paid from the damages deposit. If damage / loss is greater than the deposit, the hirer will pay the balance. Table linen is charged at a replacement value of R300 per tablecloth if stained or damaged. Any item that is returned either chipped or broken will be charged for the full replacement value. If an item is chipped or broken, it needs to be returned to Vintage Cherry.

Delivery and Collection
Delivery charges are calculated on distance to travel. Please check items on delivery, and advise Vintage Cherry of any problem immediately. Alternatively if you would like to collect the items, an address for collection will be on your invoice.

Wash Up and Care
Vintage crockery is fragile and more easily damaged than modern china, so please take care when handling. After your event, rinse and repack items as they were received. If you are returning items 2 or more days after your event, please hand wash them.

Vintage linen requiring more than a standard wash to remove stains (ie soaking and additional washings) will incur an additional laundering charge.

Please DO NOT put any of the items in the microwave, oven or dishwasher.

Linen
Please make sure that all used linen is returned dry and free of debris. Please ensure to shake off any excess debris before packing away, as damp wine stains and mildew can cause serious damage to some of the delicate fabrics. Any loss or irrepairable damage due to food staining, cigarette burns, wine stains, candle wax, tears in fabric etc will be charged at full replacement cost which is R300 per cloth and R20 per napkin.

Breakages/Replacement Value
You are responsible for all products while in your possession. This includes damage, breakage and loss. Any items left at unattended premises remain the hirer’s responsibility. If part of a set (for example part of a trio or cake stand) is damaged, you are responsible for the entire set. Replacement values will be provided when the event is booked and confirmed.

Liability
Vintage Cherry shall not be responsible for any loss, damage or injury caused to person, property or product as a result of this hire agreement. Vintage Cherry shall not be responsible for any loss or damage arising from the use of the requested hired goods. All items that are hired are under the responsibility of the hirer until they are returned to Vintage Cherry.

Cancellation Policy
Please advise Vintage Cherry of cancellations as soon as possible. The following cancellation charges may apply:
• 21 or more days no charge
• 8-20 days 25% of order
• 5-7 days 50% of order
• 2-4 days 75% of order
• Under 2 days 100% of order

Cancellation fees will be taken from the hire and/or damage deposit. The remaining amount, if any, will be refunded to the hirer.

All hire items remain the property of Vintage Cherry.
